I grew up in Guelph, Ontario. I moved to Listowel in 1998, where I met my husband Michael. We reside in his hometown of Gorrie, Ontario.
I started working in the industry in 1992, where I first became a Registered Deposit Agent. I went on to complete my mutual fund, life insurance qualifications, and my Elder Planning Counselor designation. In 2014 I completed my Branch Manager’s qualifications.
You may have seen me in the community participating in many fundraising events, as I spent many years on the Howick Parent Teacher Advisory Council, where I served as their community representative. And I also served as a director on the board of Big Brothers & Big Sisters Listowel & District. I have mentored five littles, whom I still remain very close with. I received the volunteer of the year award in 2016 working with United Way Perth-Huron in bringing “Crossing Bridges” to Listowel, a drop in centre for young adults struggling with addiction.
Both financial advisory and mentoring are processes that enable people to achieve their full potential. I will observe, listen and ask questions to understand your situation. I will support you in setting appropriate goals and give you the tools to assess the progress in relation to these goals. I will encourage a commitment to action while maintaining unconditional positive regard, which means that I am at all times supportive and non-judgemental of your views, lifestyle and aspirations. I will evaluate the outcomes of the process, using objective measures wherever possible to ensure the relationship is successful and you are achieving your goals and manage the relationship to ensure you receive the appropriate level of service.
